CONSIGNMENT POLICY

BENEFITS OF CONSIGNING
Career Fashion Consignment is a retail outlet that offers the consignor (seller) a unique showroom and maximum exposure for selling high quality, well-kept business attire and accessories for men and women.  We take the hassle out of trying to sell your items on your own – we eliminate the inconvenience and costs an individual would experience it they tried to sell it themselves or auction items.  We also offer donation opportunities.

CONSIGNMENT PRICING
Consigned items are placed in our store for a period of 90 days.  We will price the items to sell with resale pricing that is fair to both buyer and seller.  Our mission is to sell your quality items for the maximum price quickly. Consignors will receive 45% of the resale price and CFC will receive 55%.* Items are reduced by 25% after 45 days and 50% after 65 days and can be reduced for seasonal or promotional discount sales at any time.  If the items haven’t been picked up by the consignor, the merchandise becomes the sole property of CFC and will be donated to charity or re-consigned as store owned inventory. WHAT WE ACCEPT

WE  DO NOT ACCEPT

We do not accept "Career Killers" - items listed that are too sheer, loud and crazy prints and patterns, items that are inappropriate or too casual for business and professionals.
We do not take swimwear, T-shirts, shorts, jeans, or sports-specific clothes, or formal wear for men or women (i.e. tuxedos, gowns, and cocktail dresses).  Nor do we accept hats, jewelry, backpacks, open-toed shoes, sneakers, or sandals.

CONSIGNMENT GUIDELINES 

Only 15 items per consignor visit please. (A multi-piece suit or matching separates can be considered one item.)
We have high standards for the clothes we accept. Please understand that we accept merchandise we believe will have the maximum sales appeal and items not meeting our standards will not be placed on the sales floor.
All merchandise must be:
            *less than 2 years old
*clean and pressed, on hangers if appropriate
* in good repair
            * shoes polished, like-new and in boxes
            * free of stains, smells, snags, holes and tears
            * no missing buttons or fasteners
            * all closures (snaps, zippers, etc.) should work properly and be closed

SEASONAL MERCHANDISE

Clothing will be accepted on a ‘seasonal’ basis.  We accept fall and winter merchandise July through December.  Spring and summer styles are accepted January through June.
Accessories are accepted throughout the year.
